Our Cats~Can't live with them...Can't live without them!

Last night while visiting a few blogs before heading off to bed, I came across a couple that had to do with cats. One was at Tales from an OC Cottage, and had to do with laundry...click HERE to read that post, and I left my comment talking about a cat we once had that loved to go into the dryer! Well, below is a picture of that little sweetie, his name at that time was Charlie. He was my very first kitten when I started breeding my Persians. We had him until he finally found a home at 7 months old. Anyway, he loved to hop into the dryer when I had it opened to put the wet clothes in. And he also liked to "dive-bomb" into my freshly dried towels as I was trying to fold them. He was such a hoot!!

And then of course, there is our little Miss Annie....who loves to play with folded socks...she once had one stuck on her paw, and while she was trying to get it off, she sent it flying half-way across the room! I laughed soooo hard!!

The other blog I was visting last night was A Rose Without A Thorn, and she had done a post of the 15 steps to giving a cat a pill....she didn't write this herself, but had found it, and OMG!!! I laughed soooo hard I was literally crying!! Click HERE to read it.....ladies, you HAVE GOT TO READ THIS!!!

I have to tell you this.....
Being a long time kitty mom we first got our Mr. Binks at the age of 5 months. We got him & the 2 others at the shelter. A couple of weeks after they got home they had Kennel Cough. He was a sick little boy. This required an antibiotic.
I got Kitty Sip which is a kitty milk & put their liquid antibiotic in it. The other 2 loved it but good ole' Mr. Binks refused to be fooled.
We (DD & I) decided to just get a syringe & "shoot" it into his mouth. Now mind you we had to do this 2 x's a day.
He quite literally lolled his tongue out of his mouth & out rolled the medicine!!
Eventually we won but I think he enjoyed the challenge!!
Love them Kitties!!

So sweet! I've been featuring our cat lately too with updates. We recently adopted him and he is a sweetheart! My other cat is still trying to adjust to him being here though. Elvis (new cat) was laying on my daughter's lap last night and she was rubbing his ears, he fell asleep with his mouth wide open it was so funny looking. How much these dear animals touch our lives. We have 3 dogs too! Enjoy your evening.

Blessings,
Jill

That so reminds me of my Bruce Wayne, he loves the dryer but he expects me to stand there and hand spin it for him and he runs in it like a treadmill. Well needless to say that gets old fast! But every once in awhile I indulge him...sheesh! Your little guys look so precious!

In my case, I absolutely CANNOT live with cats. I am horribly allergic, really to the point that it controls my life. I simply don't go to people's homes if they have a cat.

However, I have two beagles, and they can be as nutty as your kitties can be. They both used to sleep with my husband and me, but we recently put the older one in the crate at night, because she gets up in the middle of the night and then gets into things....especially the garbage cans.

Have a great evening.

Love,
Patti

Hi, Brenda,
That Charlie has the sweetest face!! I am glad he didn't get "dried" in the dryer. Miss Annie is a sweetheart and looks quite comfortable in your chair. I will go and read the links you gave us. Have a terrific rest of the week~Love and hugs~ Vicki

Must have been a day for the kitty sector. My poor story involved a cujo-type cat! So glad there are good kitty stories out there to out weigh my bad one! lol

I read the little episode trying to give a cat a pill, is that ever hilarious. Try giving medicine to a bird is tough too. Animals of all kinds are such a blessing to us and nothing can match up with the ones we hold dear to our hearts..... each one is different when it comes their own personalities. Gosh, they can be so crazy at times. Your cats are beautiful and you can tell that they are loved and spoiled. hehe It's the only way I say!

Enjoy your Day Brenda*

Your cats are so beautiful. Your kitten in the dryer is just too cute! Bentley loves to jump up on the bed when I am changing the linens. H likes me to pull up the sheet and quilt over him so we can play peek-a-boo. What fun and great joy these fur babies bring into our lives!

Love,
Susan and Bentley

Dear Brenda,

LOVE cats and they can be sometimes so acrobatic, so mischievous that it makes one laugh. That alone is already a good reason for living with them!
Please feel free to visit me, always welcome on my blog...

Adorable kitty in your dryer! Our Muffin (1/2 Himalayan, 1/2 Persian) LOVES to pat our JRT Sissy on the behind as she goes by. Her little round bottom is just too appealing! She HATES it! :0)
