Fabulous Giveaway at Bella Vista

Hey Everyone, Barb at Bella Vista is having such a wonderful giveaway, and wanted to let you guys know all about it!! She is giving away a beautiful teacup and a book by Sandy Lynam Clough called "You Can Do Tea"....now you need to hurry on over there 'cuz it only runs until July 2nd!!! Click HERE to take you to that post, or you can click on the link on my sidebar.

Here is an up-close picture of the teacup....isn't it just so sweet, and who wouldn't want a cup that is pink with pretty pink roses? I know I sure want it!!

Hmmmmmm, this giveaway is kinda got me thinking of doing another giveaway! I'm currently working on listing some pretty rosey Christmas Stockings to put in my Etsy store, I may just have to make one especially for my sweet blogging friends to give away :) What do you ladies think? Sounds like a good idea to me!

I won't be doing a post this week for Pink Saturday, since it is the 4th of July weekend, and want to keep the day free for whatever we may choose to do, but I will post pictures of the stockings I'll be listing on Etsy for you to see, and they do have lots of pretty pink and rosey fabrics :) So come back later on Friday to see them :) Until then!

Warmest hugs to all of you, Brenda

Teacup Tuesday #8 & #2 Teapot and Tea Things Tuesday

Welcome every one to another fabulous Teacup Tuesday, hosted by Martha and Terri! Be sure to stop by and say Hello to them :) I am also participating for the 2nd time with Teapot & Tea Things Tuesday.

This week I have another sweet teacup by Royal Albert.....below is a sweet little vignette I set up using the teacup.

This cup is rather smaller than the other teacups I've previously showed you....isn't it the cutest :) I love all the pretty pink roses it has, and it has pink along the rim of the cup, as well as on the edge of the saucer.

This is the stamping on the bottom of the cup...it is also on the bottom of the saucer too.

You'll find more pretty pink roses on the back of the cup..

and look! It even has a pink handle....too cute :)

And more pretty pink roses and buds on the inside of the cup.

I love the saucer! So pretty with all the pink roses, and I love the detail of the saucer!

Also included in this week's little vignette is this sweet little victorian style teddy, with it's own pink roses and cute little pink bow.....and also a Vintage Victorian Gift book, with gorgeous pink roses, and is titled: Life's Roses.

Here you will see a white hobnail vase (bought at Goodwill) with pretty artificial pink roses, and a vintage candle holder with glass prisms.

And lastly, my vignette would not be complete without one of Rhonda's pretty faux cake slices :)

Thanks so much for stopping by to see what Teacup I have for you this week....I always enjoy having you visit! Please be sure to stop over to all the other lovely ladies participating, and see what pretty teacups they have to show for you this week :)

Woo Hoo!! It's Pink Saturday Time Again !

Goodness, time sure does fly! It seems like just yesterday that I did my last Pink Saturday post! Once again, I want to thank our terrific hostess, Miss Beverly, at How Sweet The Sound for hosting this terrific fun event each week!!

For this weeks Pink Saturday I will be showing you some wonderful pieces that I have purchased from a terrific seller over on Ebay, but first, I want to show you this beautiful set of Kitchen towels that I created for my sweet bloggie friend, Mari, at A Pocket Full of Roses. I created them with the sweet print of Teacups and Roses, and embellished them with a ruffle of soft pink Voile, rose lace with vintage pink ribbon inserted thru, and finished with a pretty pink rose :) I just love how these turned out, (and so does Mari!)

Okay, now on to the rest of my post.....as mentioned, I have purchased a few things from a very Talented Mosiac artist named Nancy, and she sells both on Ebay and has her own website...click HERE to take you to her Ebay store, and click HERE to take you to her Website. This sweet little drop leaf table I purchased from her website. This was my very first item that I purchased from her.

Look at all the gorgeous vintage rose china she uses on her pieces!

This next piece is a vintage Demilune table that I purchased from my local Antique mall. I asked if I sent it to her, if she would be able to do her magic with it, and she said she would be happy to :)

She asked what colors of china I would like, and I told her pink and greens, as those are the colors I decorate it.....boy did she pick out some GORGEOUS pieces of rose china for this!

She also sells some lovely things that are created by a friend of hers.....this is a vintage spoon that has been decorated with pretty pink roses and flowers and ribbon.

Next up is a beautiful large kissing ball that is decorated with tons of pretty pink ribbons, lace, roses and pine needles.

Here is a close-up of the top....just beautiful!! This hangs in our Bow window in our master bedroom.

And lastly, is this set of 3 glass christmas ornaments, all decorated with pretty pink ribbons and roses :) These are just too pretty to put away after christmas, so I leave them out for display in my laundry room, up safely on a shelf.

Thank you so much for stopping by...I do hope you have enjoyed your visit :) Be sure to check out all the other pink lovin' gals who are participating in this fabulous weekly event!

Pretty New Pink Display Towels

Thought I would show you ladies what I worked on yesterday.....some pretty pink Display hand towels :) One is a set of 2 and the other is a single. I haven't done any of these in a while, and since I had 3 hand towels left, thought...why not!

The photo below is the set...I started with a pretty soft pink Terry cloth style hand towel (called Petal Pink), and then embellished each one with a pretty Reproduction rose Barkcloth print, a ruffle of white Voile, pretty rose lace trim with Vintage pink ribbon inserted thru, and finished with a pretty pink rose :) This set turned out so sweetly!

This set is now available on Ebay :)

Here, below, is a photo of the single hand towel...it too starts with a soft pink Terry cloth style hand towel, and embellished with 2 pretty soft green prints with pink roses, a snippit from a vintage doily, vintage lace which I have inserted thru with vintage soft pink ribbon, and finished with a bow of another vintage pink ribbon trim. I LOVE the colors scheme of this one....after all, these are the colors I decorate my home with!

This pretty towel is now listed on Etsy :)

These pretty towels are now available for sale, if you interested, just email me :) (which you can do on my Profile page.)

Have a great day everyone! Warmest Hugs, Brenda

Here is a close-up of the pretty cup....can you see the delicately raised design it has? So sweet!

Here is a close-up of the saucer....aren't the roses lovely :) It too has a delicate raised design.

Here is the stamp on the back of the saucer (it is the same on the cup, though the cups is more faded). It's marked KPM Germany

These next 2 photos are of pillows that I just listed on Etsy.... this first one is the smallest long pillow, from the group of 3 that I created for a friend of mine, but she decided she didn't want them afterall...oh well :(

UPDATE: This pillow is SOLD

And this one is so pretty with it's lovely pink rose bouquet in the center :)

New Pillows Listing on Ebay!

Good Monday morning to all my blogging friends! Hope everyone had a fabulous Father's Day weekend :) If you've been reading my posts lately, you know that I had been very busy working on a custom order for my friend , and yesterday I finally got the order finished! She asked me to make her 3 long style pillows that she could display together, with each one being a little shorter than the next. Of course, they had to be done in pretty pink rose fabrics, with a white sheer side ruffle. I've made a few of these styles for her website, and was thrilled to create a set for her home. She hasn't seen the photos of them yet, you are seeing them before she does! I think they turned out fabulous....each is made with strips of different fabrics with different vintage lace trims accenting each strip, and in the center is a vintage lace doily with a sweet rose fabric in the center.

A quick update about these pillows....they are now going to be listed on Ebay for sale....The first one, the largest, is now listed and you can click the link on my sidebar with the pillow to take a look at it :) I will be listing the other 2 very soon. Long story short....My friend changed her mind about the pillows...what can ya do? So, her loss is now someone elses new treasure!

Don't these pillows look so romantic and dreamy!!

Here is a close-up of one of the pillows. Love the rose print used in the center of the doily! Can you believe I HAVE NOT made one of these pillows for my own home!! Just give me time ladies, give me time, lol :)

Hope everyone has a terrific week, and I will see you all for Teacup Tuesday tomorrow!

Warmest Hugs, Brenda

It's Pink Saturday Time!

Hello to all my Bloggie Friends! It's everyone's favorite day of the week....Pink Saturday! Yeah!! So give a big shout out to our fabulous hostess, Beverly, of
How Sweet The Sound for hosting this wonderfully fabulous event!

And a final reminder, I will be announcing the winner of my 2 Giveaways Saturday night, so if you haven't signed on as a follower yet, hurry and do so to throw your name in the hat for a chance to win one of them!

This week for Pink Saturday, I have a little hodge podge of different pink items to show you. First up, is this beautiful little lap quilt that I made a couple of years ago. I created a few of these and sold them on Ebay, and actually took some time to create one for me to keep! This one is done is squares of pretty pinks, soft greens, and of course, Roses! In between each square is a Vintage fancy carved Mother of Pearl button, or a vintage glass button. The squares I used on this quilt, I purchased from a lovely seller on Ebay, Specialjays, and she also has her own blog now...you can click HERE to take you to it.

Below is a close-up of the quilt. Feel free to click on any photo to enlarge it :)

Next up is a sweet little accent pillow, yes, created by me. I purchased a set of these gorgeous vintage pillowslips with sweet embroidered rosebuds, and created 2 pillows with them. One was sold to a lovely ebayer buyer, and the other I kept for myself.

Here is a lovely pillow that I purchased about 4 or 5 years ago on Ebay from a lovely seller....look at all the gorgeous vintage lace trims used on each square! I just fell in love with this pillow, but who wouldn't, with all the beautiful pink rose print fabrics and lace trims!

Next, we have this perfectly shabby pink Vintage wicker hamper. This is kept in our bathroom, but I took it out to photograph it, as there is no window in there, and the lighting was "washing" out the pictures. I hope to someday have the lid (which is made of wood), handpainted with sweet pink roses!

Yes, ladies, I have Pink Cooking Utensils! Now, I only use the measuring cups and spoons. The rest are just for "Decorating Purposes Only" in my kitchen, lol :)

And lastly, is this sweet Vintage platter. I just purchased this sweetie today at my local Goodwill, for only $2.00. It is the perfect shade of shabby pink, and has the loveliest pink and yellow roses.

I hope you have enjoyed your visit with me for this Pink Saturday :) Please be sure to check out all the other wonderful blogs who are also participating....there are to be lots of wonderful pink things to behold!! And many of them are also showcasing where they create! I didn't sign up to participate this year, as I've been rather busy in that room as of late, but I did do a post a couple months ago showing the room I work in, and if you would like to see it, just click HERE to take a look at it :)

Be sure to check back Saturday night to see who are the lucky winners of my giveaways!

Teacup Tuesday #6 & Teapot and Tea Things Tuesday #1

Yes ladies, it is once again time for Teacup Tuesday, where everyone gets out and shows their lovely teacups for us all to see! And this would not be possible if not for our wonderful hostesses Martha and Terri, so thank you dear ladies!

I am also participating for the first time with Teapots and Tea Things Tuesday, so please stop by Pam's lovely blog to see those lovely ladies who are participating :)

A little reminder about my 2 giveaways...both end THIS FRIDAY!! Please click on either link on my sidebar to take you to them for all the details. I will be announcing the winners June 19th!

Below is a photo of a vignette I put together the other day, with a cutie pie momma bear and her little cub, along with this weeks featured teacup, a slice of Rhondas faux cake and one of her pretty paper roses :)

The cup I am featuring this week is a sweet vintage teacup from Germany, and it has the most sweetest little pink roses and blue flowers that encircle the top of the cup, as well as around the band of the saucer. This is another one of those very delicate cups where you can see the light shine thru it.

Both the cup and the saucer are stamped: C.T. ALTWASSER, Germany.

Here is a close-up of the sweet Bear set featured this week :) Aren't they adorable!

Here is a close-up of Rhonda's sweet Faux cake slice...just look at all the gorgeous hand-made roses she has placed on this one! Just incredible!

And the pretty pink hand-made paper roses by Rhonda too :) You can find a link to her website on my sidebar.

I hope you have enjoyed your visit with me for this Teacup Tuesday post. Please be sure to stop and visit all the other wonderful participants and check out all the beautiful teacups featured!

I'm going to be quite busy these next few days, as I have a custom order to work on for a sweet friend of mine.
