Patchwork Roses Pillow on Etsy

Just wanted to show you a pillow that I just listed over on my Etsy shoppe. It's a patchwork pillow that I machined quilted, and it has lots of pretty squares of pinks and roses, and framed with some cute vintage pom-poms. Urn ~ Vase Makeover

Yesterday I did a post of some wonderful pretties I purchased while out shopping my local Goodwill store and favorite Consignment shop. One of which was the lovely Tin Urn/vase. It was nice enough outside yesterday for me to be able to give it a makeover....I primed it first, of course, then painted it this lovely soft Ivory color. And, Tah Dah, here she is all painted and happily displayed in my Living Room :) I think it turned out fabulous. The flowers that are in it are not real, but I love them anyway. What do you think of it?

New Springtime Pillows now Listed on Ebay!

Just a quick little post to show you all these 2 pillows that remind me so much of Spring, and are now listed over on Ebay. Now it's back to watching the Nascar race which was postponed because of rain yesterday....Yes ladies, I'm a HUGE Nascar fan!! Go 24!!!!

Fabulous Goodwill & Consignment shop finds!

Good Monday morning to all of you ladies! My week has started out just perfectly. I just got back a short time ago from checking out our local Goodwill and Consignment shop in the nearby town of Newaygo, and I found myself some wonderful treasures to bring back home for me, Yippee! There's the sweet Angel planter and the pretty pink roses in a pot, which I will simply place the roses into the planter 'cuz it fits perfectly; some lovely paper doilies that I will use for my faux cakes I will be getting from Rhonda; a darling Reproduction paper fan from The Old Print Factory, with the sweetest Brundage girl (I have this print of her in my bathroom); 4 adorable porcelain cabinet knobs with roses, which I will be using 3 of them on my bathroom vanity; and lastly, 2 adorable kneeling ceramic Angels and a tin Urn (or vase), which I will be priming and painting white today. I highly recommend going to your own local Goodwill store, and other Thrift and Consignment shops because you never know what wonderful treasures are waiting there for you!

Good Friday morning everyone! The sun is shining here in Michigan, but right now it is only 21 degrees out...BRRRRRR! It's suppose to warm up this weekend...HOPEFULLY, lol!! Newly Listed on Ebay & Sneek peek of what's to come!

Good Afternoon everyone! Just wanted to show you this lovely Sachet I just listed on Ebay; it's filled with 3 fulls cups of French Lavender! Yummy!! You can click on my "Ebay Listings" link on my sidebar to take you there :) Also, I've included a photo of 4 sweet pillows that are almost finished...they just need to be stuffed (which I will be doing tomorrow), and will be listed on Ebay over the next couple of days. Resale Shopping Goodies

Good Tuesday morning everyone! It's suppose to be a fairly descent day today, with sunshine and temps' around 50 degrees. Not bad! Yesterday I went to check out this quaint little resale/antique shop that I haven't been to for several months, and boy I'm glad I did! I saw LOTS of stuff I would have loved to have brought home with me, but sadly, not enough funds (boo hoo) But here is what I did take back home with me: A darling vintage bed jacket in the softest of pinks, with sweet lace accents; 2 lovely vintage hankies with embroidery....the one with the rose is my favorite (of course), a charming little Lefton pink dish with pink roses and a cute little birdie, and this lovely Paisley storage box, which I will keep all my pretty blooms I use on my projects. I'm savin' up for the next time I go there 'cuz I have my eye on this gorgeous vintage mirror with a metal rose frame, and a 2 piece Victorian dress in soft creamy white with lots of lace accents!! Hope all of you ladies will have yourself a fabulous Tuesday Day :)

Happy Spring Day & New Pillow for Ebay

Hi Ladies! Happy Spring Day to you all! It snowed here in Michigan, so it's kinda hard to think it's spring with that awful little layer of white stuff on the ground. Can you guess that I don't like winter? I use to when I was a kid, but once I hit my teen years, I started not liking it so much, and now that I'm an Adult, I REALLY don't like it. I am sooo ready for warmer weather, LOL!! Anyways, I also wanted to show you all this really sweet little accent pillow I made yesterday, and just listed today over on Ebay. I so love this size of pillow because you can display them just about anywhere your little heart desires :) I have a couple on some shelves, and in cabinets. I also have a really sweet one that I won some time ago from Rebecca, displayed on a cute little pink doll chair with a bear and her baby sitting next to it. Hi Ladies, it has come to my attention, by a couple of comments left on my posts, that there is someone out in blogland, pretending to be me, making claims that "I" have been friends of Rebecca's (agatheringplace) since childhood, and wanting them to check out my "yummy pretties". This comment being left on other blogs IS NOT BY ME. I have NEVER made claims to have been a childhood friend of Rebecca's, I've only known of her for a couple of years thru Ebay. I'm a bit upset by this, to be sure! If you have seen this comment on a blog somewhere, PLEASE let me know what blog so that I can go and check it out for myself. Hi Everyone! I've been super busy in my sewing room creating some new pillows for Ebay, but I did take a break to stop and go to one of my local Goodwill Stores, and found this wonderful Vintage Syroco Wall candle holder. I've already given it it's makeover of pretty Ballet pink!! Isn't it fabulous!! I just haven't decided yet if I want to keep it for myself, or put it up on Ebay. What do you think I should do?

Hello ladies! Thought I would show you a few photos of some of the pretty things I have displayed on my walls in my Living Room. I really don't have a particular favorite thing; I LOVE everything on my walls. I will do future posts on some of the other rooms in my home, and what I have displayed on those :) I hope you enjoy these photos. Like you, I love seeing how other's decorate their homes :)

The Beautiful Work of Paul De Longpre

The weekend before Valentine's Day, Hubs and I did a little Antiquing, and visited 2 of my favorite Antique Malls. One was the Livingston Antique Outlet in Howell, Michigan, where I happen to find the GORGEOUS yardlong print by Paul De Longpre. I have 2 reproduction prints of his, but I've always wanted to own an original. The other place is the Antiques Market of Williamston, in Williamston, MI. There I happen to come across the smaller print by De Longpre. Now what were the chances of finding not one, but TWO original prints by one of my favorite artists! Hubby was able to get the price down on both of them for me :) He's such a good bargainer! Both lovely prints now reside in my Dining room, where they were meant to be, lol :)

Victorian Fireplace Surround & Overmantle

Good monday morning ladies! I don't know about the rest of you, but it always takes me a few days to adjust to the time change. I hate losing an hour in the spring! Anyways, I thought I would share with you all some photos I took of my victorian fireplace surround and overmantle. The Surround I purchased not quite a year ago...I purchased it at our local Antique Mall in nearby Newaygo, MI, and of course, gave it this wonderful new paint job (it's Linen white, which is very close to the same color as Rachel Ashwell's Simply Shabby Chic furniture). For a while I hung a pretty mirror over the top, but I always wanted to find an overmantle to place above it. Well, back around the end of Nov. beginning of Dec., I happen to be visiting that same Antique Mall, and propped against the counter was this overmantle (YIPPEE), and of course I snatched it right up! It had already been stripped of whatever paint or stain it may of had, which made it sooo much easier to give the makeover to. So, I painted it the same Linen white, and because it didn't have any mirror, I chose to place behind the opening this beautiful Sonie Ames print of these wonderful pink roses. Now, of course, we don't have a fireplace in our home, but I had seen in lots of magazines, of people placing a lace panel in the opening, and so I purchased on Ebay this lovely vintage rose patterned lace panel, and Ta Da! I have displayed some of my pretty china pieces and vintage candleholders with prisms on it, and I just LOVE it :)

Yummy New Magazines

Just wanted to share with you ladies a couple of wonderful new magazines issues that are out right now. First is the Romantic Country Magazine (which I have a subscription to, of course!), and it has lots of wonderful decorating ideas, and the other is the Country Collectibles #56, Cottage Style (double issue), and it has some absolutely GORGEOUS articles on a couple of homes all done in that wonderful Shabby Chic Rose Lovin' style we all love! I've included a photo to give you a little sneek peek of this mag. You have to go out and get this one!!
