Victorian Girls & Roses for Pink Saturday

Hello my fellow Pink lovin' bloggie friends! It's once again time for Pink Saturday, my favorite party to participate in, and I want to send out a BIG Thank You to our wonderful Hostess, Beverly @ How Sweet The Sound, she does an amazing job each and every week putting this fun pinkalicious party on!

This weeks pink post I thought I would show you some of my pretty prints I have of sweet Victorian girls either wearing pink, or holding onto pink things (namely roses), and a sweet Vintage rose print in a vintage pink frame...

First up, is my FAVORITE print of all; this is a true Vintage print I purchased several years ago while hubby and I were out Antiquing. This is not it's original frame, as it was a horrid thin brown frame. This frame was originally gold, but I gave it a few coats of white, and just love how it sets off the pretty roses.

This is a sweet Francis Brundage print, from the Old Print Factory, that I purchased several years ago. Isn't she just darling!

Here is another Brundage print, also from the Old Print Factory. I believe this print is called: "Sweeter Than the Rose". She is a sweetheart, isn't she :)

This print too is by Francis Brundage, and love how she appears to be looking right at you thru the mirror! This is truly a beautiful picture! It too is from The Old Print Factory.

This print is a reproduction I purchased on Ebay a few short months ago. I just fell in love with it, and who wouldn't with the pretty pink coat & matching hat, and those GORGEOUS pink roses she is holding onto!

And lastly, is the pretty Vintage rose print mentioned earlier. It's actually a vintage greeting card. The frame I purchased at my local Antique Mall, and it was already painted this wonderful shabby perfect pink! This picture hangs in my sewing room :)

Thanks so much for stopping by to see my pretty pinks I have for you :) I'll be stopping to as many of yours as I can to see what sweet pinks you have for us. And be sure to go see as many as you can too :) Have a great weekend, and a Happy Pink Saturday to everyone!

Warmest hugs, Brenda

Our 22nd Anniversary & Giveaway Ends Today

22 years ago today I said "I Do" to my sweet hubby Brian...I remember the most about that day as it being VERY HOT!! That late morning I was at the Hair Salon getting my hair done, and almost passing out from the heat right there in the chair! I suppose it didn't help that it was almost noon and I hadn't had anything to eat :( I am the oldest in my family, but I was the last one to get married. My brother (who is a year younger than me) walked down the aisle first, then my sister (who is almost 6 years younger than me), and finally little o me :) Hey, I wanted to live life a bit before I married! And I was only 24when Brian and I did marry :)

I also remember being very nervous....that is until I started to walk down the aisle, then I didn't feel one bit nervous at all! It was meant to be :)

We were married at the same church that my parents had been married in; where I when to Sunday School as a young girl, and it was also the same church that my sister married, and my brother and his wife renewed their vows some years later: (They were married in Arkansas where he was stationed in the A.F. and where they met). So, lots of history with that church (Cedar Springs United Methodist Church), and it was very important to me that I too be married there.

Below are a couple of photos I thought I would share with you. This first one is of myself & Brian :) We didn't (or should I say couldn't afford) a professional photographer, so we had his Dad take some photos for us :) I think he did a pretty good job :) And remember, these photos were taken 22 years ago before there was ever any Digital cameras!

This next photo is my most favorite and my most cherished.....my wonderful father walking me down the aisle. It's so hard to believe that less than 2 years after this picture was taken, that I would lose my father to a car accident :(

And here are us and "my girls"....That's my sister, Tina, standing next to me, and over on hubby's side is my good friend Rita, and next to her, my sister-in-law Anne. Can you tell I did a bit of a Southern theme for my wedding :)

And here are my hubby's "guy's"...to the right is one of the ushers (sorry, don't remember his name), then his youngest brother Lieu, then older brother Mitch,(then us, lol), then his other younger brother Les, and finally, the other Usher (okay, I know his name, but do you think I can remember it now...no!).

And a reminder; today is the last day to enter my Giveaway...you can do so HERE, Remember, to be entered to win the stocking you MUST leave a comment on that post. If you are a follower, leave me a comment telling me so; if you are a new follower, leave a comment; The winner will be chosen from one of the comments left! So if you haven't entered the giveaway yet, you still have time ladies :) JUST LEAVE A COMMENT ON THAT POST TO BE ENTERED :) Good luck everyone!!!

Some Goodwill Treasures

Hi Everyone, thought I would share with you some things that I found at my local Goodwill last week. I forgot to take some before pics of some of the items that I got, so you will be seeing them already painted. What I found are a vintage picture frame, mini Lefton pitcher & bowl, white mug, 4-tier tabletop plate stand, Apothocary jar, and a Christmas hanging thingy :)

This is the mini Lefton pitcher & bowl. It has a sweet little cherub on it, and I just realized you can't see it very well in this pic :(

This is an up-close picture of the frame...love the detail on it.

And check out this sweet mug...love the raised design....I actually have a sugar bowl that I found at a yard sale a while back that matches this mug!

Of course, this is the Apothocary jar....not sure yet what I want to put into it....

And here is the 4 tier plate rack..as you can see I already have some pretty vintage plates displayed in it :)....also shown in this picture is the Christmas hanging "thingy" :) It did have a tag on it that said it was a "Christmas item", and I will be hanging one of my sweet ornaments I have of Rebecca's of A Gathering Place on it for Christmas....but until then I will find some other sweet pretty thing to hang from it :)

I just LOVE going and checking out my local Goodwill stores...most of the time I come home with some sweet treasures, but there are times when I leave empty-handed...which can really bumm me out! Now go out and check your local Goodwill and Thrift stores...there might be something there waiting for you to find :)

It's Tea Time in Blogland Ladies

Hello to all my fellow Tea lovin' bloggie friends.....It's once again Tea Time in Blogland, and there are lots of Parties going on, with wonderful Teacups, Teapots, and all things related to Tea to be seen.

Below is a list of the Parties that I am participating in this week, so be sure to stop on over and say hello to these lovely hostesses......

TEACUP TUESDAY hosted by: Martha @ Martha's Favorites & Terri @ Arful Affirmations

TEAPOT AND TEA THINGS TUESDAY hosted by Pam @ A Breath of Fresh Air

TEA TIME TUESDAY Hosted by Sandi @ Rose Chintz Cottage

TEA TIME TUESDAY @ Lady Katherine's Tea Parlor

For this weeks vignette I decided to do it on our front covered porch. The Table and chairs are a Faux Wicker set....looks like the real thing, but this set can sit outdoors in all types of weather and not rot away!

This weeks featured Teacup is my most favorite and cherished cup. It's by Royal Albert, and is from the American Beauty collection. I just adore the roses on this set....I plan to SLOWLY acquire more pieces from this collection. Some can be a bit pricey, but definitely well worth it!!

Here's a close-up of the saucer...don't these roses make you swoon! They do for me!! :)

This is the marking on both the cup and the saucer.

Some gorgeous faux pink roses....sorry ladies, but I don't have any real ones..waahhhhhhh!!

A sweet vintage wicker basket.....check out those GORGEOUS vintage roses on it; they are the softest, palest shade of pink...can you say YUMMY!!

Yup, you've seen this pretty pink Teapot before, but I just love it and wanted to show it again, LOL!! Also a sweet slice of one of Rhonda's faux cakes...my posts would not be complete without one!!

A sweet Cherub planter with some lovely faux pink roses, a beautiful Glicee print of a lovely Southern Lady, and a white candle holder with sparkly prisms and rose pattern pink candle completes this lovely vignette.....oh yes, the tablecloth that all this sets on is Vintage, and has lovely faded pink stripes and gorgeous red toned roses! The perfect backdrop don't you think :)

Thank you so much for stopping by, and I hope you enjoyed your visit with me. I'm looking forward to visiting everyones Tea posts!!

Warmest hugs to you all, Brenda

Victoria Classics Magazine & Blog Button fixed

Hi Everyone, hope you are all having a wonderful weekend :) Yesterday while hubby and I were out picking up some last minute grocery items that we needed, I happened to see this magazine on the rack, and of course, had to snatch it up! It's Victoria Classics Rooms of Bliss, and oh boy, does it have some wonderful photographs to see! Below are a couple of pictures for you to see what's inside....gorgeous, aren't they!

And also, I have recently discovered that my Blog button wasn't working :( So, I had my oldest son (who will be a Senior this year in College) try to help me in figuring out what we did wrong.....it took a little bit, but I do believe we got the problem fixed. So if you've tried putting my button on your blog in the past and couldn't, you should be able to do so now. I'll get the hang of these computer stuff yet ladies, lol :)

Blog Changes & New Door Hanger Pillows

Hi Everyone! Well, as you can see, I've done some changes with my blog, and am using Bloggers new Template Disigner. I've been wanted to change over to a 3 column blog for quite a while, and today I have finally taken the plunge, so to speak. I'm pretty much happy with it.

I've been VERY busy in my sewing room these past few days, as you can see below the photos of what I have been working on. These are some pretty Door hanger Sachet Pillows, and I used different Images of pretty Victorian ladies on each one, with pretty rose prints, and lots of lovely embellishments.

This first one I just finished a few minutes ago, and haven't yet put it on Ebay, but keep an eye out for it as I will be listing sometime today with a BUY-IT-NOW price.

This one is now currently available, and you can click on the picture to the right on my sidebar to take you to that listing.

This lovely lady just sold earlier today, and will be going to a lovely lady in the United Kingdom. Gosh, my pillows get to travel all over the world, but not me :(

It's "Tea" Tuesday Time Ladies!!

Hello Ladies! It's "Tea" Time Tuesday here again in Blogland, and I will be participating in these Tea parties this week:

Teacup Tuesday at Martha & Terri's Blogs
Teapot and Tea Things Tuesday over at Pam's blog,
And Tea Time Tuesday at Sandi's blog.
So be sure to stop on over and say hello to these lovely ladies!

Also, my Christmas in July Giveaway is still going on, so be sure to go to that post, which you can do HERE, to leave your comment to be entered for it :)

Below is the vignette I have set up for this weeks featured Teacup. Ain't it cute!

Instead of a regular teacup this week, I am instead featuring this beautiful little Demitasse cup and saucer. Sadly, there is no makers mark on either the cup or saucer, but I would guess it to be from Germany. The roses on it are just so lovely, don't you think.

Next is this gorgeous Vintage Teapot. It too does not have any makers mark. I bought this about 3 years ago while hubby and I were out antiquing with some relatives. It does have a crack on the backside of it, which doesn't bother me much, as I use it only for display, and I just had to have it because it has PINK in it, lol! And I love the shape of it too.

I've placed it on top of this vintage crystal candleholder with these wonderful drippy prisms, and below is a lovely handmade paper rose by my friend Rhonda.

Here is a lovely vintage spoon....love the details on this!

A sweet Vintage victorian gift book titled "Life's Roses" (I'll have to show you the gorgeous rose pictures inside some Pink Saturday!), and 3 sweet little faux petit fours by, you guessed it, Rhonda :)

And lastly, this GORGEOUS wreath just full of pretty pink roses!

Yes, I MUST show you a couple of lovely pillows that I have just finished working on~which includes this first one I gave you a sneek peek on a couple of posts back :)

Update: This pillow is now available on Ebay.

And this Romantic long style pillow....done a bit differently than the previous long pillows I've shown before. This one is done in just pretty pink and white! It is currently now listed on Ebay with a Buy-it-Now price.

Update: This pillow is now sold.

Thanks again for stopping by my little 'ole Blog :) Now go on over and stop by to visit all the lovely ladies participating in all the wonderful Tea parties that are going on now :) Have a great "Tea" Tuesday everyone!!

Warmest hugs, Brenda
