Goodwill Footstool Transformation

Good Monday morning everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend ~ We have our bathroom makeover almost finished. We still need to put in 3 more tiles yet, as we once again ran out of mortar! The floor isn't exactly perfectly level, so many areas we had to put the mortar extra thick to accomodate that. Today, I wanted to show you a footstool that I found at Goodwill on Friday, and it's shabby little makeover I gave to it. I am noticing that in the preview of this post, as I am doing it, the pictures are not in the order that I loaded them up it, So I am having to move them around myself to get them how I want them! Not liking these new blogger changes! I had no problems like this before. Anyways, I bought it for $8, which is a great price! No real issues at all with the footstool, and it has great bones, and I really like the legs on it. First thing I did was paint the legs white, then I made a basic cover out of quilt batting, to help hide the blue of the original fabric. I then made the final cover out of my favorite Reproduction Barkcloth fabric from Urbangardens, called "Falling Roses" ~ this fabric was used for the top. I then made a simple little mini pink ruffle to go around the barkcloth print. Finially, I made the flowing skirt out of an actual skirt that I found at Goodwill some time ago. I was waiting for just the right project to use it on. It was a long style skirt, and I used the bottom portion of it, as it was the perfect size to go all the way around the ottaman.

I also took a couple of pictures this morning of my living room, as I haven't really done any new ones lately. Hope you like them :)

New Creations ~ Bathroom Makeover update

Happy Wednesday!! Goodness, It's been over a week since I last posted!! I've been super busy working in my little sewing room creating some new accent pillows for Ebay ~ below are 3 that are completed and listed. I'm currently working on another really sweet one, pink and roses of course ♥

Also wanted to give you a little update on our bathroom makeover....we've got over half of the new floor tiles put in, and I grouted those this morning. Will be working over the next few days to put the rest in. You have to keep in mind that this bathroom is our main bath, so we can't have it completely "out of commission" Right now we have the sink/vanity removed out of there so we could work in that area of putting the new tiles in....by about Friday, we will be removing the toilet and working in that area for the new tiles. Right now the plan is to have things put back together by Sunday night (keeping fingers crossed!!) There are 3 areas that some tiles will need to be cut, which isn't the most easiest thing to do! But anyways, so far so good :)

Well, it's back to sewing ~ just wanted to pop in and say "Hi" :)

Until next time sweet friends!!

Vintage Italian Frames

Hello everyone!! I am looking out my window right now, and there are snow flakes falling outside! At least the ground has started to warm up here, so they aren't sticking :) Yesterday my daughter Amber, and Seth and I went to go see my new Grand-niece, Madison, who was born Friday....she is such a little cutie!! And boy does she have a head full of dark hair...and so tiny, as she weighed 6 lbs. 12 oz.! All 3 of my children were over 8 lbs. ~ Both Amber and Brian Jr were 8 1/2 lbs, and my youngest Austin was 9 lbs 13.8 oz.!! Even my Grandson Seth weighed over 8 lbs, so Miss Madi looked liked a little doll ♥

Today I thought I would show you a couple of Vintage metal frames that were made in Italy, that I gave makeover's to.....they both were originally bronze in color, but I gave them a couple of coats of Primer, then painted them my favorite paint called Soft Linen. I then printed out a couple of pictures from Vintage Klein postcards that I have, and I will be listing them later today on Ebay......I have been given some thought as to putting one on Ebay and the other on Etsy, then see which selling site works better. We'll see..

~~THIS FRAME IS SOLD~~

~~THIS FRAME IS SOLD~~

Well, I'm now off to get some work done around here in the house....laundry and FUN stuff like that, lol :)

Have a wonderful day.....until next time sweet friends!!

A Little Sneak Peek

Just a little bit of a sneak peek for you of our bathroom makeover ~ the walls are all painted in a lovely gray, called Secret Locket, that I purchased from Walmart ~ I have all my things I wanted up on the walls, and it's looking really fabulous so far :) ~ The only thing that is left yet to do is to remove the old tile flooring and install the new, but not sure when that will take place, hopefully in a couple of weeks or so. Once everything is all finished, I will post photos of the completed makeover.

Until next time sweet friends!!!
