Thrift Store Finds

Well, I think Winter has finally arrived here in my part of Michigan....woke up this morning, and everything is covered in snow. More snow is expected for several more days this week. I knew it would come, but was still hoping that it wouldn't, lol.

Today I thought I would share with you some of the sweet treasures that I have found over the last few weeks, most of which I found at local Goodwill stores.

First up is this adorable Cherub wall planter....originally gold toned in color, I gave it a makeover and painted it white (of course). I haven't found a place yet to hang it in my home, but I am looking, lol.

Next is this adorable little bronze and glass trinkit holder. It too got a shabby white makeover. I just love the "lace" look of the glass dish.

This sweet lamp is just sooo cute ! I painted the base white, and had hubby replace the cord, as the original one had a cut in it, and only added the sweet tulle rose lace around the top and bottom of the shade. What is really cute about the shade, is that it is in a triangle shape.

This fab piece had been hanging up in one of the Goodwill stores ladies room for a couple or so years, and they FINALLY put it out on the shelves to sell, and lucky me, I grabbed it ! I plan to paint it white, but will have to wait till the Spring, as it is just too cold out right now.

Lastly, is this vintage tole candleholder, with roses ~ of course, it too got a shabby white painted makeover.

Finally, here is another new creation I made, that is currently listed on Ebay. You can click on the link on my sidebar to take you to see this pillow, and other pretties that are currently available.

Thanks so much for stopping by ~ Wishing you all a wonderful week :)

Until next time sweet friends

My Newest Creations

Happy Friday everyone. Hope you all had a wonderful week, and looking forward to the weekend as I am.

Today I thought I would show you some of my newest creations that I've done this past week or so. I've been a busy little sewer, working away in my sewing room !

This first photo shows one that I just finished last night, and is now available. It's made with a beautiful Reproduction Barkcloth fabric made exclusively for Urbangardens, and is called "Springwood Stripe". Sadly this fabric is no longer being produced, which is just a shame. Other fabrics used are a soft pale pink with white roses quilters cotton, and a Laura Ashley pink stripe print. Embellished with pretty vintage eyelet trim.

Next is this really sweet pillow featuring a gorgeous pink rose bouquet for the center. Also features the Ashley pink stripes, and a ruffle of pink rose ticking style fabric. Accented with Venice lace, vintage bow of DF pink ribbon, and a Vintage pink millinery rose.

Here you will see Rachel Ashwell's "Bella Blue" fabric, with its 2die4 gorgeous pink roses (Am really loving this fabric!) It too was also made with the Ashley pink stripes.

This one below just sold 2 days ago, and features another Reproduction Barkcloth fabric, also made exclusively for Urbangardens, called "Falling Roses". This is my most favorite fabric!! But sadly, it too is no longer being produced. Why must they always stop making these gorgeous prints?

Time to get back to work creating more pretty pillows for you ~ Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!!

Until next time sweet friends.

Pink Roses and Goodwill Find

Today I thought I would share with you these beautiful soft pink roses that I treated myself to yesterday while out doing our weekly grocery shopping. I don't often do this, but the last 2 weeks the store has had some of these lovely soft pale pink roses that I absolutely love. Most of the time I just see red and yellow roses, and sometimes white. And they were on sale too, so can't pass up an opportunity like that, now can we ladies !

Another thing I like to do while out grocery shopping, is to stop in at 2 local Goodwill stores, and look at what was waiting for me to take it home!! Isn't it just fabulous ! And it was only $1 dollar ! SCORE !!!

Here in this photo below is a little vignette I put togother with this weeks roses, and some of last weeks roses, and my GW find.

In this photo is a vingette that I put together last week, with those pretty pink roses. Also, the pillow you see displayed on the chair, I made for myself with Rachel Ashwell's Bella Blue fabric. I love it !

I've been going thru many of my vintage china pieces that I have loved displaying in my home, and am now offering up on Ebay. Below is a wonderful Vintage Lefton Tea, or Coffee set, with beautiful hand-painted pink roses. This will be listed sometime on Monday (7th), so be sure to check it out, and all the other pretties that are currently listed. You can click HERE to take you right to my listings.

Thanks so much for stopping by ~ I wish you all a wonderful weekend :)
