Some Goodwill & Thrift Store Treasures ~ 20% off EVERYTHING in my Etsy Shoppe

Hello everyone! I don't have a Tea post again this week...I've kinda shown you ladies all the cups that I have in my little collection :( But, I thought I would show you a couple of things that I found last week while out doing a little treasure hunting ~ these 3 items were purchased in our neighboring town's Goodwill store, and the consignment shop, The Corner Closet, in Newaygo Michigan. I had sooo wanted to go check them out yesterday (which happened to be my birthday), but it was waaaay to cold, and the roads were waaaaay to icy for me to venture out it! I have always hated having a December birthday, because, more often than not, there is usually some snow storm that hits around that time. My son was happy though, NO SCHOOL yesterday, lol :) Oh, and a little FYI for you ladies....I was born on FRIDAY the 13th! My mom said it was a good day cuz' I was born....my siblings have another opinion on that one, lol :) Also, my hubby was born on May 13th, also a friday, and on Mother's day too!

Until Christmas Eve, everything that is listed in my Etsy shoppe is now 20% off ~ perhaps you will find that gift for someone special, or who you haven't bought for yet :)

Below are photos of the 3 items that I wanted to show you all....

This birdcage isn't old, but I just love it, and found it at Goodwill....I want to paint it white, but right now it's still too cold outside to do any spray painting, and of course, I wouldn'd dream of doing it inside the home :0 ...

This is a very heavy candle holder...it was originally a medium brown in color, but I was able to paint this white...this was purchased at the consignment shop a couple of days prior to going to Goodwill...when the weather was much nicer and a bit warmer.....

this was purchased at the Goodwill store, and was already this nice creamy white, so no changes need to be made with it...I don't know yet what I might place inside of it; perhaps some pretty faux pink roses :)...

Well, that's about it for now....have you all got your Christmas shopping done? Me? NOPE! Hubby and I are planning to go out to dinner to celebrate my birthday this friday, then get the xmas shopping done afterwards...we have a family xmas party to go to this Saturday on hubbys side of the family.

Until next time bloggie friends!! :)

NEW PILLOWS ON EBAY & 20% OFF ALL CHRISTMAS ITEMS ON ETSY

Hello again my bloggie friends :) Well, yesterday here in Michigan, winter decided to make it's presence, and we got our first official snowfall for the season...YUCK!!! I am NOT a big fan of snow...it can be here for Christmas eve, and for Christmas, but then it HAS to GO!! We live in Newaygo county, and they are terrible at maintaining the roads here....you know when you get to the Kent/Newaygo county line, as our side will be covered with snow on the roads, and Kent county's will be nice and clear!! NO FAIR!! Oh well, just have to put up with it until about March or so :(

Anyhoo, enough of that, now on to this post....I've got a couple of really sweet pillows now listed in my Ebay shoppe, and I am now having a special in my ETSY shoppe, where all my Christmas items are now 20% off, which are my stockings and my little pillow ornaments ~ Hope you'll get a chance to stop on over to check things out :) Now I am going back in my little sewing room, as I am currently working on a beautiful cottage pillow with pretty rose barkcloth, so keep any eye out for that one to be listed in my Ebay shoppe soon :)

Our Christmas Tree (trees)

Hi Everyone! I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend, and didn't stuff yourselves TOO much with Turkey and all those yummy trimmings :) We had Thanksgiving over at my sister's house this year, and the food was DELISH!!

Friday night I got our tree out of storage, and put it up and decorated it...this year I have place it in the center of where the French Patio door is. I usually have it either to the left or right, but didn't feel like rearranging the wicker furniture, so decided on this placement. Definitely less of a hassle!

Below are some pictures for you to see that I took earlier, of our Dining Room tree, and also some of my pink tree which I display in our living room. Feel free to click on any of the pics to get a larger view if you like :)

This tree skirt I won on Ebay about 3 years or so ago from the talented Rebecca, of A Gathering Place, and I just LOVE it!!!

These next few pictures are of the decorations that I have in our Living Room... Below is the Pink Tabletop tree...

Thanks for stopping by....I'm off to get that pile of laundry finished that's been WAITING for me, lol :) And my boys are letting me know that they are getting hungry for some lunch...my oldest, Brian, is home from Collage for the weekend, so I have to make sure he gets plenty of home cookin' before he heads back up later this afternoon :)

Until next time!

I stopped at a local Resale Shoppe, called Love, Inc., and they had a ton of christmas items out for sale, and I was lucky to spot a bag with these sweet beauties inside, for just $1 !! Yup, I couldn't grab them up fast enough! I think my favorite is the one shaped like a pinecone..

And, thought I would show you ladies my Christmas tree from last year...this is our big tree, and I always put it up in the Dining room. This year I'm trying to decide if I want to put it in the same spot, or perhaps move it over to the other corner of the French Patio door ?

Well, that's all for today....I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! I'll be announcing the winner of my Giveaway on either Sunday or Monday, so be sure to check back :)

Rosey Chocolate Cups for Tea Tuesday

Hi Everyone, I made it, though just for a brief time, for Tea Tuesday this week!! I'm still busy working in my sewing room creating pretty items for this Christmas Holiday decorating. Right now I'm working on a sweet little accent pillow, done in pretty pink fabrics, of course, LOL :) I should have it finished later today and listed over in my Ebay shoppe.

There are less than 5 days left to enter my Christmas Stocking Giveaway....if you haven't had a chance to enter, then please do hop on over HERE to leave your comment on that post....the winner will be chosen from one of those comments. And the 20th is the last day to take advantage of the Special that I have going on in my Etsy shoppe...ONLY $2.50 for U.S. Priority mail shipping on ANY stocking purchased. After that day the price goes back up to $5.00.

Okay, now on to my Tea Post. I have to confess.....I am not a Tea drinker...I only drink tea if I happen to have a sore throat, as that particular beverage seems to soothe it. My FAVORITE and ONLY hot beverage that I love to drink is Hot Chocolate. Please don't hate me :) Kinda strange...I love to collect teacups, but don't like to drink tea...what can I say :) So, for this week's post I thought I would share with you a couple of really lovely chocolate cups that have, of course, beautiful pink roses decorating them.

First, you will see the little vignette I set up this morning as the sun was coming up...

These cups are different, but very similar in style as they both have lovely pink roses, done in differnt styles, decorating them.,,

one of them even has some pretty roses along the inside rim...

Both have these markings on the bottom of the cups...

I've chosen my pretty pink and white rose Tea pot to go with them....

a delicate and dainty Vintage soft pink hanky with sweet crochet trim...

a pretty paper rose created by my friend Rhonda...click HERE to see her wonderful website...

and lastly, a lovely vintage crystal candleholder with shimmery prisms, and all these were placed on the wonderful Vintage mirror with scrolly metal frame that I found at Goodwill a couple weeks back. The frame was originally gold, but I spray painted it with my favorite Dover White by Krylon Fusion, and now she looks fabulous.

Thanks so much for stopping by my Tea (Chocolate) Post this week. I will try my best to visit your Tea posts thru-out the week :)

Here are the Tea Parties and their wonderful Hostesses that I am participating in:

MARTHA and TERRI at TEA CUP TUESDAY

WANDA LEE and PAM at TEA POT AND TEA THINGS TUESDAYS
