Goodwill Treasures for White Wednesday ~ Giveaway continues

Hello everyone ~ hope you are all trying to stay cool in the excessively hot weather that most of the country is in ~ I've been spending most of my days staying inside our home with the central air! It's suppose to be a bit less warmer tomorrow, in the mid 80's (as if that is any cooler), but we'll take it.

Today I had to run to the store to pick up a couple of things, and decided to stop at that town's Goodwill store, though at first I was tempted not to, but then decided, "why not", and I am so glad that I did, as I brought home the 3 white treasures that you see in the photo below.

First up is this sweet little gravy boat and plate ~ I have a couple of other pieces in this same pattern; a mug, covered sugar, and a medium and small pitcher.

Next is this cute 7 1/4" plate ~ sweet details around the rim. There's no makers mark on the back.

Now this is the BEST find of the day! This is a platter, marked on the back: England, W. H. GRINDLEY & CO. I don't know a lot about this company other than a quick google search to find that it was founded in 1880. And the price I paid for this platter? A mere one dollar !!

love these swirls on the sides....

and these cute little "dots" around the edge...

Below is a close-up photo of the makers mark...

My "Christmas in July" giveaway is still going on ~ you still have until July 23rd to get your entry (entries) in ~ Just click on the Giveaway button/link at the top of my sidebar to take you to that post ~ the winner will be chosen from one of the comments left on that post.

Thanks so much for stopping by today to see my Goodwill white treasures ~ be sure to stop by Kathleen's blog, FADED CHARM to see all the other wonderful & chic whites to be seen.

FADED CHARM'S WHITE WEDNESDAY

Until next time sweet friends !!

OK...you know I want that Gravy Boat, right? LOVE IT! I just sold a tea set that matches it in my booth. Bah! Wish I'd kept it!

Remember those blue rose drapes I showed a few days back I bought at Goodwill? Just sold last night for $305. :)

Goodwill ROCKS!

Hi Brenda, What great white finds. Love that gravy boat and all the details. I am so into the white dishes and vintage pieces too. There are a lot of wonderful finds out there in white when we really look. So glad you stopped at the Goodwill.
I know you are having awful heat there as our family tells us. And, I remember that humidity!!!!!
It's really hot here too but dry.
Your Christmas stocking is gorgeous. You are one talented lady.

Thank you for stopping by and your sweet comment.
Have a great day.
XO Celestina Marie
