Christmas 2012

Hello everyone! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving Holiday with family & friends. We had my brother Dale & SIL Anne, and their daughter Susi and her boyfriend Dan over, as well, as our daughter, Amber, SIL Kevin, sweet Grandson Seth, and our oldest son Brian, and youngest son Austin. Then, lucky me, I came down with the flu that night! I was down for the count for a couple of days, but am feeling so much more better today.

I usually get our tree up the day after turkey day, but had to postpone it for a couple of days....but now I have it all up and ready to show all of you!

I bought a new/used tree at a garage sale over the summer, one a bit smaller and thinner than our old one, and am liking it sooo much better. I did take some white spray paint to it, to soften up the green a bit, and really like it.

Found this vintage tree topper several years ago at an Antique store, and think she looks just perfect on this tree :)

I have several of Rebecca's (A Gathering Place), beautifully painted ornaments on the tree. I've been purchasing a new one every year for about 3 years or so.

Also decorating the tree are large pink roses, faux baby's breath, creamy white pearl strands, pink ribbon, pink painted stars, and some crochet ornaments that I purchased on QVC several years ago.

This tree skirt is another purchase I won on Ebay from the very talented Miss Rebecca.

Also decorated for Christmas is my Fireplace/Mantle. You'll see 2 shimmery silver Reindeer, vintage pink Mercury Glass ornaments, a wired angel, painted white, and cottage white vintage garland, and of course, 4 pretty Christmas stockings, made by me. The one on the right is one I made last year, and the other 3 were made this year.

The dining room is the only room I've chosen to decorate for Christmas this year, as it will make it much easier when it comes time to pack things up after the New Year, not to mention a 14 month old Grandson who loves to get into everything!

Hope you've enjoyed seeing my Christmas for 2012!

Until next time sweet friends!!

Very lovely Brenda as usual...

Hey, I couldn't believe you were selling some awesome dishes. I wish I was able to get some but at the moment money is real tight so I had to pass, but I'm telling you I would of bid on them so fast. Oh well...

Take Care Kiddo~
