New Items to Ebay

So sorry it's been such a long time between posts, I've been busy as of late. 4 days out of the week I watch my 2 year old and 2 month old grandson's for our daughter, as she is now the 2nd Aide at the Preschool, so they keep me pretty busy. So, just popping in really quick to say "HI", and to show you a couple of things that I have managed to create and list on Ebay.

First up are these 2 sweet Christmas Stockings....I know, Halloween is the holiday coming up first, but I just love making these, and wanted to get a head start this year, since my time is very limited to do any sewing.

I also managed to create another cottage pillow using this beautiful Vintage Waverly fabric, with a gorgeous rose bouquet on the perfect Robin's Egg blue background!

And lastly, here is a photo of our youngest son, Austin, wearing his Football Uniform for the Oakland University Football Club. Oakland had never had a Football team EVER in it's history, until finally this year, and Austin is a member of this team. We're going over to the east side of the state (Michigan) this Saturday to watch him and his fellow teammates play their first Home game. Can't wait to see him!! We live on the West side of Michigan, and it's a 3 hour drive to get there!

1 more photo, this is our 2 grandson's, taken a few weeks ago. I'll try to post a newer picture of the 2 of them soon for you to see.

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit me ~ Don't know when I will post again, hopefully not so long as last time.

Until next time sweet friends!!

Living Room Makeover

Hello everyone!! I know, I know, it's been quite a while since my last post. Again, I'm such a bad blogger, lol! I've been really busy as of late, and one reason why, as you can see from the photos below, I've given our Living room a bit of a Shabby chic makeover. Now, I've loved how the room look before, but to tell you the truth, hubby was never really happy with so much PINK in the house. So, I decided to purchase some wallpaper that looks and feels just like actual bead board, and began the task of doing the makeover. First, of course, was ripping down all the old wallpaper, which, can be a bit difficult, lol. Then the fun part of putting up the new. This paper is soooo easy to put up as there are no matching up to do, as with patterned papers. Since this paper is heavier than regular wallpaper, I used a heavy duty wall paper adhesive to the back, even though this paper is pre-pasted. It's stuck on those walls REALLY well, lol.

And just to remind you how the room looked before, here is a photo taken a couple months or so ago.

This room now has that Shabby Chic feel to it, that I am so loving!! I'm really thinking of putting this same paper in our Dining room.
What do you all think of the makeover?

Vintage Farmhouse Table makeover

As promised in my previous post, here are the photos of my Vintage farmhouse table-turned-coffee table makeover.

Here is the table as it was when I purchased it. Nice and chippy, like we all love, but it was just too chippy for my tastes, not to mention, a lot of the paint was literally falling off when you touched it. So, out to the Pole barn it went, and had hubby cut a few inches off the legs, and then used hubby's electric hand sander, and sanded away all the really loose paint. Then, out came my can of my very favorite soft shabby pale pink paint, and applied it on in a thin single layer, to give it a new look.....

.....and here it is! I am so in love with how it turned out! This is exactly what I had envisioned for a coffee table for our living room, and am over-the-moon thrilled with it!!

Love the little drawer on it.

The view from the couch.

And here is the top of the table. See how you can still see the outlines of the old paint! So very Shabby Chic!

Thanks for stopping by to see my Vintage Farmhouse table makeover! Hope you love it!!
