Hello everyone! I'm sooo glad it is the weekend ~ I've had a busy week, and looking forward to a little relaxation.
Today I wanted to share with you a sweet Yard sale find that hubby and I found while doing a little yard sale-ing at a Townwide Sale we went to last Saturday ~ sorry, I forgot to take before pics of it......It was originally a blackish brown color, and it had some interesting teardrop (sorta?) prims on it...I wasn't quite feeling them, but knew I could do something more with it. Of course, I painted it white, then I added some vintage prisms that were on a couple of glass candleholders that I have (now I need to find others to put on them, lol)..There are also a few French cut crystal prisms on it too...I am sooo liking how it turned out.
The wiring on this was in really bad shape, so my husband removed it....eventually we will get it re-wired, but for now I think it's just fine hanging "as is" in our kitchen. You can see that it has the original Vintage glass beaded lightbulb cover.
Here is a photo of a sweet vignette I "threw" together today. I've done one similar to this, using a vintage wicker chair painted green, and did this one with my Goodwill chair painted soft pink. I think this one is my favorite :)
Have a great weekend everyone ~ Until next time sweet friends !

FINALLY! A new slipcover for my sofa!!
Happy Wednesday to all my bloggie friends !!
Yes, I have FINALLY gotten my new slipcover for my sofa, yeah !! I purchased it on Ebay, from a seller who offers slipcovers made for the Pottery Barn Basic Sofa, not actually by Pottery Barn, so the cost was WAY less ~ It fits pretty well, but the slipcover for the body of the sofa is quite tight in fit ~ I had a very hard time getting it on ! The cushions for the back and bottom fit perfectly...no problems there, lol. And I must say.....I AM LOVING IT.
My shabby white pillows look much better displayed on the sofa now that it has the new slipcover...
I also wanted to share with you all this photo of a pair of pillow covers that I made for one of my Etsy buyers ~ In the center is the Rose Garden Tea fabric, and I used a pretty pink & white striped print for the body and the ruffles ~ at the top of each is a snippit from a Vintage hanky with pretty embroidered pink roses.
Rachel, over at SHABBY FRENCH FOR ME is having a wonderful Giveaway ~ a chance to win one of 2 copies of the Book, Vintage by Nina ~ Be sure to click on the link at the top of my sidebar to wisk you there for a chance to enter. I'm keeping my fingers crossed ~ would love a chance to win this book.
Until next time sweet friends.

Charming Bird House ~ Another White Pillow
Hello everyone! Hope the start of this new week is going good for everyone ~ this evening I wanted to share a couple of photos with you ....
First is this fabulous vintage style bird house that my hubby bought for me Saturday, at a sweet little new shoppe we stopped at. I spotted this the first thing when we walked in the door ! "How cool is this" I said....he asked the lady what was the best she'd take on it? It was priced at $28, which I think was a pretty good price, and she said $25. SOLD, lol :) It stands about 40 inches tall !
This next photo to show you is a cottage white pillow with a "PARIS" graphic stitched atop, that I just listed today on my Ebay site ~ I am really loving this style of cottage pillows, and in my previous post I showed you the 2 that I made to grace my own home ~ I decided to create one to offer up for you ladies ~ Hope you like it. There is a link on my sidebar to take you directly to my selling site on Ebay.
Tomorrow I will start working on a couple of pillows using the Rose Garden Tea fabric that is still very popular today, and will post pics for you to see.
Have a great evening everyone ~ Until next time sweet friends

New Pillows for Me ~ Garage Sale Mirror ~ New Ottoman Slipcover
Hi Everyone! Hope you all have been having a good week so far ~ we've had some very nice warm weather here in my part of Michigan.
Today I wanted to share some photos with you of a couple of pillows that I created for myself ~ yes, on VERY rare occasions I do make things for our home, lol. Both pillow covers were created with a couple of sheets found at Goodwill.
This first photo shows them displayed together ~ perfectly shabby white, and oh-so-cottage chic.
For this first cover, I added a piece of Vintage linen that I've had for a while now, and was just waiting for the right way to display it ~ I think using it on this pillow is perfect. All I did to attach it to the cover is used a zig-zag stitch.
Here is a close-up ~ I adore the pretty rose design in the center.
This one has a lovely French inspired Graphic fabric block applied to the top...again, just using a zig-zag stitch ~ I love how the ends are fraying just slightly, giving it that perfect shabby chic look.
Here is a close-up of the fabric block. I purchased it over a year ago from a seller on Etsy, and had originally applied it to a pillow case, as it was larger in size. So for this pillow, I simply cut it down smaller to fit the cover...I like it much better.
I also wanted to show you a mirror that my husband found at a Garage sale for $5 ~ It's a Syroco mirror, and as you can see, I've already got it painted white. Now I just need to find a place to hang it, lol>
The last photo to show you is my new slipcover I made for my ottoman....I loved the one I created for it previously, but I really wanted to have it white to go better with my chair. I made the slipcover from one of the sheets that I found at Goodwill, along with using the rest to create the pillow with the French Graphic. I am so loving this new cover ! Little by little I am slowing incorporating more white into my home, and I am loving how it all is looking. Don't worry, I am still keeping plenty of pink in my home as well, as it is my favorite color.
Until next time sweet friends!!

Front Porch Photos
Hello everyone ~ Today I thought I would share with you a couple of photos that I took just a bit ago of our front porch ~ I haven't taken any in a couple of years, I believe, and thought it was time to do so, lol.
My grandson, Seth, is sitting in the little wicker rocking chair in this photo....isn't he just the cutest!
This year I decided to bring out my wicker love seat out here, as it's been sitting down in our basement for a while. I use to have it in our Dining room, but when I moved the fireplace surround & overmantle in there, there wasn't any room for it, so down to the basement it went :(
This photo was taken 2 years ago, for a Pink Saturday post I did, and it has been VERY popular on Facebook I have learned and seen. This is my most favorite pic of the front porch, and I decided to use it as my Profile photo on Facebook (my personal one, not the business one). The pink picnic basket has since been painted white, and sits underneath our coffee table in our living room, and holds Seth's toys.
Hope you all have been having a wonderful weekend so far! It's been nice and warm & sunny here today, so have been enjoying the day.
I am linking this post up with Courtney, over at French Country Cottage for FEATHERED NEST FRIDAY.
Until next time sweet friends !
