Creating Vintage Charm's Launch Party!!

Hello everyone, today I am joining Sonia at Creating Vintage Charm for her "Creating Vintage Charm" Launch Party, for her brand new magazine that is now available for purchase...just click HERE to take you to her blog.

Creating Vintage Charm for me, is creating a romantic, vintage style feel in my home. I love taking vintage items, whether it be a piece of furniture, dishes, fabrics, shelves, etc... and fixing and painting them up, or sewing items into some of the pillows that I offer up on Ebay or use in my home.

Below are some photos that I have taken of my most favorite room, my dining room, that I have filled with lots of wonderful vintage items...

And here are a couple of photos taken of our bathroom...even in the bathroom you can display pretty vintage china pieces to help give it that soft romantic vintage charm.

Don't have a fireplace in your home? No problem...just place a vintage fireplace surround against the wall and cover the opening with some lovely vintage lace or fabric, and top it off with either an overmantle, which I have done, or a beautiful vintage mirror, and tah dah :)

You can even create a romantic vintage feel on your porch or deck simply by bringing out some of your vintage items to decorate with, as I have done on my porch....some of you may remember this photo that I took for a past Teacup Tuesday post :)

And don't forget to make your guests feel welcome by creating a wonderful vintage feel in your guestroom....here I have a beautiful vintage Victorian bed, which I painted a Linen White; dressed it with lovely soft bedding, vintage rose pillows, and Vintage tray.

Now, here's my cat Max, who just happens to be 8 years old today, so, I guess you could say he is vintage, as they do say that for every cat year it equals 7 human years, so, you do the math, LOL :) Happy Birthday Max!!!

Thank you for stopping by :) Please be sure to click on the Link on my sidebar to take you to the other lovely blogs that are participating in this fabulous Vintage Cottage Charm Party!

Brenda, I still can't get over just how fabulously gorgeous your home is. You've done such a wonderful job decorating and filling your home with all of your beautiful collections and it looks so warm and inviting. Definately worthy of a few magazine features in my opinion and I'm sure others would say the same. Seeing your beautiful home makes me want to move right in and live in the charming home you've created for yourself and your family.

I could just sit and stare at every picture. Everything is so pretty and serene.
I posted my bedroom makeover I did 2 years ago, but I added the painting I won from Erin at the Painted Garden, if you want to take a peak. I'm still collecting things. I just don't buy it unless it is something I really want and like.

What a beautiful cottage style you have. I love the fireplace trick and I have been wanting to try that myself. But, hubby is holding out to put in a gas fireplace. If I find a mantel though...I am dragging it home! LOL

Hi Brenda,
What a beautiful home filled with treasures. I admire your bravery for painting antique furniture. I'm afraid I haven't been able to make myself try that yet. I think if I found the right piece though ...I could do it. Thanks for the inspiration and enjoy your day!

Hello Brenda!

Oh, I am drooling over these pictures. Just beautiful! Never thought to put a manneqin in the dining room! Yours is gorgeous. Okay,I am going to put it in mine then. don't have room in my bedroom. I had seen one of those display pieces that you have your vintage linens on, in the goodwill store. It was 2.99. I walked away to "think" about it for 5 min. I came back and it was already in someone's cart :( Your cat is so cute. His coat is beautiful.

Debbie

Dearest Brenda,

Just in time to wish Max a happy 8th birthday; very special and he feels quite like a king amidst all the roses on that bed!
Lovely items, that would take hours for indulging the eye... this is way too fast for racing through it with limited images. Thanks for sharing!

Sunny greetings from Georgia,

Just look at all those rooms filled with pink goodness!! Oh so pretty!!

I do love all your pretty plates- I have a hard time passing up pretty handpainted rose plates myself! (they do have to be inexpensive with my budget so that helps me pass up some of them!!)

I Love your home ! What fantastic things you have and I love how you have everything arranged!
Gorgeous.
I have seen the lace curtains used with the fireplace surround and white icicle lights hung behind the lace so when turned on, they sparkled through the lace!

Just beautiful! Pure eye candy!!

Debbie
