Hi everyone, I hope you all are having a lovely weekend ~ the sun has actually been shining here in West Michigan, but it is still very cold out. Below are a couple of pillows that I worked on this weekend, and they are both now listed over on Ebay ~ You will find a link to my Ebay listings over on my right sidebar. The first pillow showcases one of my very favorite Images by Francis Brundage, which I actually own the litho print of ~ the second pillow is a total departure from what I usually create, as there is not one hint of pink on it, lol :) This one showcases a wonderful French Graphic. It really is quite beautiful.
A few posts back I mentioned that I have finally starting working on crocheting a blacket for my son Austin, and below is a photo of where I am at so far. The finished blanket will measure 81" wide x about 78" long ~ there will be a total of 122 rows ~ and so far I have completed 45 rows. The colors that I am working with are Urban Camo, which consists of the colors black, dark gray and light gray, and the other is a dark blue. There will be altnerating rows of the Urban Camo and the dark blue (23 of the Urban Camo, and 10 of the dark blue) and when these are all completed, I will be doing a border of 2 rows of the dark blue. I told him I will do my best to have this all finished before he graduates High School, which won't be for another 2 years, so I have plenty of time :) Besides, in a couple of months or so, I will be having to get busy on making a sweet little afhgan for my new Grandchild that will be born in September, once we find out what our daughter is having :)
Well, time for me to go "veg' out" in front of the tv for a while and watch a movie...just relax for a change :) Until next time sweet friends.

Hello everyone!! Goodness, I have been MIA for Pink Saturday for a few months now, but I am at least back again for this week, and wanted to feature my Manniquin all dressed in her Vintage pink finery ~ The manny itself is not old, but new, and I purchased it over on Ebay a couple of years or so ago....the gorgeous and flowing dress that she wears is a Vintage Gunne Sax Prom dress from the late 70's to early 80's, and has lots of wonderful lace trim

And of course, she MUST have her Bling to wear :) A vintage Rhinestone necklace, 2 vintage Rhinestone pins, a Cameo necklace, and a pin with a red rose..
I have her "holding" onto a bouquet of pretty faux pink roses, of course...
She also is wearing a lovely Vintage sheer pink apron with pink roses...
Here is the bottom of the dress, where you can see how sheer this fabric is...LOVE IT!!...
Here is the pretty back....
She is also wearing this gorgeous Vintage crochet collar....check out the beautiful details on it...

January's Cottage Colors Party
Happy Monday everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful weekend :) Today is the launch of a new and wonderful blog party that will be featuring different colors for each month, and for the month of January the color is blue ~ Be sure to stop by Etsy Cottage Style to see all the other blogs who are participating in this fun new Party!
First up is this charming and oh-so-cottage chic pillow I created several months ago, and it features a beautiful barkcloth era fabric with the perfect cottage blue background, and of course, a bouquet with pretty pink roses..yummy!
These next 3 photos show my little collection of pretty vintage dishes with a soft blue background...and yes, more pretty pink roses (I gotta have my pink, lol)
and this last photo shows a sweet little pail painted in soft pretty blue, with yes, pink roses :), and an adorable little girl figurine with a blue dress...isn't she just so cute!!
Well, that's it for my blues....as you can see I don't have many items with blue in it, mostly I collect things that are pink, so I hope there will be a Month that will feature that color...I'll have TONS of things to choose from for that one, lol :)
Have a great week everyone!!! Warmest hugs, Brenda

Some sweet Pretties on Ebay
Hello everyone! Goodness, I've realized I haven't been posting as much as I use too; there's just not all that much going on right now. Winter's are pretty slow and a bit boring around here in Michigan. I haven't been going out to my usual Goodwill stores or Thrifts shoppes that much lately as I don't really do much driving during the winter ~ have I told you lately that I HATE SNOW!! And also, I've had to have a little work done on my car ~ I own a Red 1993 Chevy Lumina Z34, which I purchased brand spankin' new in "93, and I LOVE this car!! It's had some issues over all these years that I have owned it....first, it needed a new Altenator, then next came it needing a new engine!, then it needed a new water pump, and now, the most recent, it needed a new Ignition Module, which by the way is very hard to diagnose...we first thought it was the Crank Sensor, then perhaps a Fuel Pump (which it got new ones' of each anyways), but neither seemed to fix the problem, which was it shutting off while driving!! Not fun. But we finally got it narrowed down to the Ignition module, and it seems to work and run just fine now :) Yeah!! My kids are like, "Mom, ya need a new car!" But I always tell them no, this car is very special to me and I don't think I could ever let it go :)
Anyhoo, I wanted to show you all some things that I have now listed on Ebay ~ you will find links to these items over on my right sidebar...
First is this lovely custom lamp shade done in a pretty soft pink Rose Toile print.
I love the flirty feathery fringe I added to the lower edge...
Next is this wonderful Vintage tole lamp, which I have had for a couple of years ~ I painted it this sweet Ballerina Pink by Krylon, and added a cute rose decal...
And here are a couple of adorable Heart Shaped pillows that I have created ~ this shape I created myself, and just love it...
I'm also still working on crocheting my son's blanket...still have quite a long ways to go, but I'll take a picture of it soon to show you it's progress....then when that's all finished I'll be working on my new soon to be grandchilds, once I find out for sure what my daughter will be having :)
Be sure to check out the links on my left sidebar, as there are some wonderful giveaways going on in Blogland ~ they're listed in the order of when they end...Go check them out :)
So until next time my sweet bloggie friends!! :)

Some Exciting News!!!
Hello everyone! I have some very exciting news to share with you ~ Our daughter Amber and son-in-law Kevin were over for dinner Friday night, and afterwards they told us that they are expecting....okay, yes, I was very much in shock as I thought I wouldn't be hearing that particular announcement for another year. She told me my eyes looked like baseballs, LOL :) Anyways, we are very excited and happy for them, of course.....she's due around September 3rd. I still can't believe it, my baby girl is having a baby!! I'm starting to feel old ladies!! LOL :) I'll have to work a little faster on Austin's blanket that I am crocheting, because once they are able to find out what they are having, I'll have to get busy and make a little blanket for my Grandchild....I'm going to be a "crazy crocheter", lol :)

Vintage Goodwill Finds ~ 2 More Pretty Valentine Pillows
My hubby had to plow last night (EARLY this morning) over in a nearby town called Cedar Springs, at the High School and Bus Garage and surrounding drives, (Which this is the school that I went to and Graduated from), and he got home about 8:30 this morning, so we decided to go get some grocery shopping done at Walmart in Fremont, and after that I MADE him take me to the Goodwill store cuz' I hadn't been to that one in over 2 weeks! Yes, I was definitely suffering from "Goodwill Withdrawal", lol :) Anyways, I did a quick look around, to keep hubs happy, and I found this sweet Vintage filigree mirror and the 2 cute vintage rose plates. At some point I want to paint the metal filigree frame white, but that will have to wait because we are in the dead of winter right now, with cold temps, so not a good time to do any spray painting.
Here's a close-up of the pretty filigree design...isn't it beautiful..
Here is one of the plates....I so wish there had been more pieces, but sadly, there was just the 2 :(
Up-close of the stamp on the back of the plates... don't you just love Bavarian & Germany china..I know I do :)
And here are 2 more pillows that I have created for Valentine's Day... the pillow in the first picture is now currently listed on ebay...
...this one will be listed later this afternoon, so keep an eye out for it...it's so pretty in pink :)
Well, it's back to work in my sewing room, as I have a couple more Valentine's pillows that I want to get finished in the next couple of days. I'll post pictures of them when they are finished so you can take a peek :)
Until next time!

I'm Back ~ Happy New Year! ~ Romantic Valentine Pillows
Hi Everyone!! I'm back to my blog, and looking forward to catching up with you all :) I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas & New Year. It was so nice to just sit and relax and spend time with my family, something I haven't done too much of, what with being busy with both my Ebay and Etsy shoppes, and this blog of mine too :) Christmas day was spent over at my Brother's house with all of our families. His son was home for a little while ( he's in the Air Force, stationed in Alaska) so it was so good to be able to see him again. The following Wednesday, myself, my daughter Amber, and my 2 sons, Brian & Austin, went out for Lunch at Olive Garden...Love that place!! :) Hubby was out Ice fishing, and besides, he's not much of a fan of that place (I know, can ya believe it! LOL ) New Years Eve & Day was just spent quitely here at home...me and my boys stayed up to watch the ball drop, but hubby went to bed early...he's not one for staying up late. I also took down all my christmas things New Years Eve; got everything all carefully packed up until next Christmas. Now I'm just still trying to put the house back to normal; maybe change a couple of things around...maybe :)
I'm just now starting to get a couple of things listed in my Ebay shoppe for Valentines ~ I have a couple of really sweet pillows listed, which you can click on each link over on my right side-bar to take you to each of those listings. Below is a photo of the 2 of them together...
I just HAD to show you this picture I took of Estella...she just LOVES this round box, and loves to hop on in and take a little nap....Annie got into it once, but when Estella saw her in it, she ran right over and made her get out! I told her that wasn't a very nice sisterly thing to do..gotta learn to share, lol :)
I've also just started working on Austin's blanket that I am crocheting. It's being done in an Urban Camo coloring, of Black, dark and light grey, and I will also be doing rows of Dark Blue. I'm doing it with 23 rows of the Urban Camo, then 10 rows of the dark blue, then repeating this about 3 more times, with a total of 122 rows! Right now I've completed almost 24 rows. I'll be finishing it with a band of about 2 rows all around of the dark blue. It's going to take quite some time to complete it, but when it is all finished I will be sure to take a picture of it for ya to see.
Well, time for me to get back to work with my sewing, then getting a little bit of housework done, so until next time my bloggie friends :)
