Welcome to my First Pink Saturday

Hello everyone, and Welcome to my very first Pink Saturday! I want to give a big thank you to Beverly, at How Sweet the Sound, for hosting this wonderful event.

For my first Pink Saturday I will be taking you on a little tour of my Dining Room. But first, I would like to show you this pillow you see below, that is now available on my Ebay. Another lovely Victorian Lady Image, and done with sweet pink rose fabrics.

In this first photo, you will see a sweet painted sign that was one of my first purchases I made on Ebay a few years ago. You will also see one of Christie Repasy's gorgeous rose canvas prints...I LOVE her work!

This is a shelf I painted white, and displayed on it are 2 pretty vintage rose plates, and a killer vintage pink rose hat.

This photo shows a better view of the shelf, with 2 newer little girls dresses hanging from the hooks. I just love them as they have such a wonderful romantic look to them. The wicker chair belonged to my mother...the pillow in the back is one of Rebecca's, and the one in the front is one that I created. Do you see the sweet vintage footstool I did a post about earlier?

I purchased this charming shabby white cabinet over a year ago at my favorite local Antique mall. On top is a wicker basket filled with pretty pink flowers; another pillow by Rebecca, and a cute vintage pink birdcage. Next to the cabinet is a stack of pretty pink rose boxes, with one of my pillows displayed on top. The gorgeous picture with the girl and roses is my FAVORITE!

This is a wreath that hangs on the french doors that separate the Dining and Living rooms. It already had pink roses in it, but I've added more to it, plus the pretty pink bow. Isn't it 2die4 ladies :)

In this corner of the room, is the wicker loveseat that goes with the chair. I created all the pillows, except for the one in the back (middle back). You can also see my manniquin all dressed in her pink finery :) The gorgeous mirror was found by my father-in-law, and I painted it white, and draped the rose garland along the top.

This is the one piece of furniture I WILL NOT ever paint! This is a gorgeous antique Oak side-by-side secretary. I love all the details done on it; the carvings and the appliques. Hanging on the wall above it is an original Paul Delongpre rose print & frame! I was sooo excited when I found it while antiquing with hubby back in February.

Displayed on top of the Secretary is one of Rebecca's "Gathering Cases" It holds special mementos of my parents...photos, birth certificates, marriage licsence, etc.. The pretty notecards with the sweet girl is one of Rebecca's as well.

This last photo is where are computer is :) I refurbished the desk; painted it white and added the glass knobs and pulls. Above the desk is another one of Christie Repasy's beautiful rose prints, and also 3 pretty Vintage rose plates by Royal Rudolstadt

Well, this concludes my tour of our Dining Room. I hope you enjoyed your visit into my home, and I thank you for visiting me :) Don't forget to visit all the other wonderful ladies participating in Pink Saturday!

Oh yes, and one more thing.....This Monday, May 17th, I will be announcing the Details of my Very First Giveaway!! YEAH!!

Your home is just to die 4, so pink and luscious!!! I wouldn't paint that beautiful piece of furniture either. I have a sideboard that was my grandmothers and I feel the same way about it, although it would look great white, but just can't do it. Thanks for the beautiful post and welcome to PINK SATURDAY. (love the new pillow)

MY sweet friend, OLIVIA!!!!

I KNEW you would be a perfect participant in Pink Saturday when I first found your blog and good golly was I ever right!!! If I do say so myself! LOL!!

Your post is overflowing with luscious pinkness!! This room is stunning beyond belief!!

Your pillows are to die for and so are all of Rebecca's goodies!! I adore the wall paper and all the pink beauties that if I mentioned them all by name, this comment would be WAY TOO LONG!!

But I do have to say, being the Victorian lover that I am, I love that you kept the natural woodwork in your home and I adore that secretary!! I have wanted one of those my whole life..... someday hopefully!! and don't you dare paint that!! It is perfect as it is!! LOL!!

They say that you should have one item that is black in a room to anchor it. I feel that way about how your wood work looks. It anchors all of your pink and white which is so beautiful!!

I am so glad that you decided to join us on Pink Saturday and you know I will be watching all of your posts to see more of all your beautiful things!!

Hugs,
Debbie
