Hello everyone, and Happy Halloween!! Just a couple of things for you today, I have a couple of new pillows now listed in my Etsy shoppe, you can click on each pillow on my sidebar to take you to each of their listings if you wish to check them out.
Be sure to stop back here tomorrow as I will be posting my Giveaway!!
And an update about our Grant Tigers Varsity Football....sadly, they lost their playoff game Friday night against Muskegon Heights, 26-8 :( So this Football season has now come to a close. They should still be very proud of what they accomplished this year; starting the season with a 6-0 record, and finishing with a 7-3 record. A couple of years ago they were 0-9!!
So I am going to end this post with our Grant High School Fight Song:
COME ALL YE LOYAL, FIGHT FOR GRANT HIGH
WE ARE WITH YOU, WIN, LOSE OR TIE.
WE ARE HERE FOR VICTORY,
SO COME ON AND WIN THIS GAME, RAH! RAH! RAH!
YOU TAKE THE BALL RIGHT DOWN THE FIELD.
FIGHT ON AND FIGHT ON, NEVER TO YIELD.
USE THOSE PASSES, PUNTS, AND KICKS AND WIN
FOR THE 'OL GRANT HIGH, RAH! RAH! RAH!

Finished Lampshade; A Goodwill Find, and oh yes, a Giveaway is a coming!
Hello all my bloggie friends! Well, I finally got a lampshade for the pretty & frilly skirt that I posted about. Now, I didn't put it with the lampbase that I found at Goodwill because it just wasn't tall enough for it, so instead I matched it up with another Goodwill lampbase I had, and swapped out the lampshades...I think the shades look perfect with the bases they are now with :)
Below is the newly fashioned skirt/lampshade, on the taller lamp base...
Here it is lit up, and displayed on the table it now resides at....
Here is the lampbase I was originally going to pare it with, but I think this skirt-turned-lampshade works much better with it, don't you agree...
And this is the pretty rose candle ring that I found at Goodwill today...LOVE the soft pale pink and creamy white roses....can ya say YUMMY!!...
Yes ladies, there is a Giveaway coming soon!! Woo Hoo!! Here is just a little sneak peek of part of it; this sweet and all in pink Victorian girl Image...now I wonder what it will be? Stay tuned, I'm still workin' on it, and will hopefully have it finished in a day or so....then the Giveaway details will be announced :)
Tomorrow night is our Grant Tigers first Playoff game....wish our guys luck ladies!
Until next time....warmest hugs, Brenda

Treasures coming to Etsy & My Etsy shoppe featured on The Art of Living Beautifully blog
Hello everyone, sorry, but there is no Tea post today. Yesterday was a bit of a gloomy day and couldn't get any good pictures taken, nor today either as we are under a tornado watch. The county below us, Kent, was under a tornado warning, but that has since expired. So, I thought I would let all my bloggie friends and followers get a "head's up" on some things that I will be listing on my Etsy shoppe, hopefully starting later today, but if not, then for sure I will start tomorrow. I started doing some "thinning out" of things that I have around my house....and I do have a LOT of things around my house. And instead of packing them away for my garage sale next spring, I would try offering them up on Etsy. Lots of pretty things you can decorate your home with, or even to give as gifts this holiday season to someone you know who likes having romantic and pretty things in their home :)
I also wanted to let you know that my Etsy shoppe has been featured today over on the blog THE ART OF LIVING BEAUTIFULLY. If you haven't stopped by Bella's blog before, then be sure to go over and check it out. She has a lovely blog and features many Esty shoppes on her blog....there are lots of wonderful shoppes on Etsy and with the Holiday season fast approaching, it's a great place to shop for those special people in your life :)
And for those of you who have been following me about our Grant Tigers...my son's JV team lost their last game :( But our Varsity guys won their last regular season game against Whitehall 31-13....WAY TO GO TIGERS!! WOO HOO!! This friday starts the Playoff season, and we were fortunate enough to be able to host our first game!! We will be playing Muskegon Heights (5-4) right here!!! And of course we will be going, wouldn't miss it!!! I think there will be more Grant supporters coming to this game than their was to our Homecoming game...and that game was PACKED! I'll try to remember to bring my camara and take some pics for ya to see....it's going to be crazy!!!
Until next time, have a wonderful day everyone!!

Man, Do I LOVE Goodwill!!
Yesterday morning, and again this morning, I hit 2 of the local Goodwill stores near our home, and once again found a few treasures to bring back to my house :) Have I told you ladies that I LOVE GOODWILL!!!
Here is what has come to live at my home :)...
Found this yesterday at the Goodwill in Fremont...I have another silver dish like this one that I painted White, and I think I will do the same with this one too..
Look at the cute little feet it has...
Love the detailing on it...
Also at that Goodwill, I found this set of 5 soup bowls...
Aren't these pinkish and yellow roses just too sweet....
These bowls are by Homer Laughlin, Made in the U.S.A., Eggshell, in the Georgian pattern....
And this is what I found today at the Goodwill in Newaygo... Did I score on this lamp base or what!!
love the glass detail in the lamp, and the whole design of it! Next week I will find a lampshade to fit it...
....and this is what I will be placing on the lampshade...the frilly pink skirt I found at Goodwill several weeks ago, and vintage pink ribbon, and the pretty rose pin...I will post a picture of the finished lamp for you ladies to see :)
Wishing everyone a wonderful & fun & creative weekend!!
Warmest hugs, Brenda

Our Grant Tigers and my newly painted little cabinet
Hi everyone, I hope you all have been having a wonderful weekend :) Yesterday, my daughter and I went to my Aunt & Uncle's 50th wedding anniversary party. They were surprised by the Minister coming, who had them re-new thier wedding vows! It was such a fun time!
Below is a picture of the newly painted little 6-drawer cabinet that I purchased at Goodwill over a week ago. Not sure yet what I will put into it, but it will be going in my sewing room.
And now for an update about our Grant Tiger's teams. The last time I posted about them was 2 weeks ago, which our Varsity team was 6-0. Well, it's sad to say, but they lost the last 2 weeks games :( The first game they lost was to Spring Lake, 21-39, which made a 3 way tie for 1st place in the Lakes Eight league. This last week's game was a MUST win for our Tigers, as were to play Fruitport, which was the other of the 3 teams tied for 1s place. It was a good-fought game, but we lost to them 28-29. I have to say that there were a couple of plays we did that should have been counted, but the ref's took them away! The last play had us with the 4th down with just 1 more foot for the 1st down near the Goal line. Our guy had the ball over that line, but the Fruitport players pushed him back, so the Ref called it "no-good" WHAT!!! If the ball crosses the line, it counts!! It doesn't matter if the other team pushes the player back after-the-fact!!! HELLO!! But what can ya do? They still have one more game to play this week (not a league game), then it's off to the Play-offs! GO GRANT TIGERS!!!
Our son's team have also lost their last 2 weeks games :( Ah well, they played their best and that is all that you can ask of them. They have their last game this week, so hopefully they will finish the season off with a win!! GO TIGERS!! That's our son, Austin, #4 in the bottom right side..
I'll keep ya ladies posted about our Tiger teams as to how they did this week, and how our Varsity guys do in the Play-offs. I'll be back to post for the Tea parties this Tuesday :)
One more thing, I've got a special going on in my Etsy shoppe right now...For any Christmas stocking you purchase you will only pay $2.50 U.S.Priority Mail from now until October 31st, and each additional stocking purchased is just another 1.00 for shipping. So hop on over and check them out, and don't worry, there will be more stockings added if the current ones sell out :)
And be sure to check out all the wonderful Giveaways going on in Blogland! Over on my left sidebar is a list of 8 that I know of, and if you haven't seen or checked them out, be sure to go 'cuz there are some really fabulous and gorgeous things to be won!!

My newly painted wall cabinet/shelf & couple of xmas stockings
Good morning ladies! Well, here she is, my newly painted cabinet/shelf that I bought at Goodwill last week Thursday...sorry there aren't any before pics; it used to be a weird purple color! But look at her now!! Isn't she great! I painted it my favorite Linen White. This is what I have displayed in it for now, I'm still kinda playing around with what plates I want to display in it.
I love how it has the beadboard for the back, gives it a nice cottage feel, don't ya think :)
It isn't very deep, only 3 1/2", but just right for dispaying some pretty plates in...I had hubby put plate grooves in it for me.
Besides painting, I've also been working on some pretty new Christmas Stockings for my Etsy shoppe, and they have been selling like hotcakes! This one below I just listed this morning, and she is sold already to a really sweet lady who's purchased several from me....Thank you Miss C!!
This lovely stocking is still available if you are interested...love the pretty Vintage Linen chosen for it with the pink embroidery and appliqued pink and yellow roses...
Well, that's all for now....I'm off to do some more sewing and hopefully finish painting the cute little mini 6 drawer cabinet I got for my sewing room, which again, I found at Goodwill :)
Wishing you a wonderful day, and rest of your week ladies!! Warmest hugs, Brenda

Happy Tea Time Tuesday!!
Okay, I know, I'm putting my post up later than what I usually do, but I had done a post yesterday, and didn't want to put up another one on the same day, so I decided to wait until this morning while I was getting my son ready to head off to school to do it :)
So, here is today's little vignette that I set up for you all....I've placed everything on a vintage bed tray, and put it on my wicker loveseat that I have here in my Dining Room...hope you like it :) I'll be on and off the computer today, and will visit everyone at those times....lots of things to do today!
Here is this weeks featured teacup; it is another cup my Ansley, and very similar to one I had shown before, but this one has a very soft pale pink background, whereas the other had a white ground....not sure which one I like better, as they are both so pretty with the gorgeous pink roses!!
In this photo you can see the bottom stamp, which is on both the cup and the saucer, and you can also see the 2 gorgeous roses on the saucer..
...a close-up of the stamp...
...there is one single, but beautiful pink rose inside of the cup...
included in the vignette is this lovely white metal basket (a Goodwill find), that I have placed a bouquet of pretty faux roses in..
My favorite teapot that I had painted pink...love it!! ...
A vintage candlestick with drippy crystals...
And a yummy Chocolate Biscotti (no, I did not make these; bought them at Walmart...good 'ol Wallymart, lol)..
If you saw my post yesterday about the 2 items that I found at Goodwill, well, here is the candleholder all painted white (Dover White, a spray paint)...I think I like it just the way it is, and won't add any Antiquing glaze or anything else.
And here is a pillow that I finished working on late yesterday. It will be listed over on Ebay later this morning. Hope you will get a chance to check it out. I've got several pretty rosey pillows available :)
Thanks so much for stopping by to visit my Tea post today. Be sure and check out all the other wonderful Blogs that are participating in all the various Tea parties today :)
