Goodwill Treasures & Victoria Classics Magazine

Okay, wasn't planning to do a post today, but I had some errands to run this morning, and as usual, I always stop at the local Goodwill to see what might be waiting there for me, and found these 2 wonderful treasures!

Isn't this candle holder 2DIE4!! I'll be painting it white, then perhaps rubbing a little antiquing glaze or something onto it to help bring out all the great details on it...

And this sweet little cabinet will also be painted white, and will go in my sewing room to hold some of my smaller items..

One of my errands was to the grocery store, and I spied this new copy of Victoria Classics, and of course, snatched one up! I'll be checking it out later as I have a ton of stuff to do around the house..laundry, etc.....

Until next time sweet bloggie friends!! :)

Dearest Brenda,

First of all thanks for your quick reply about the fabric content.
Being from the Old World I have more of a hang for pure linen and pure cotton... But anyway, your pillows are DARLING!

This is a great blog, as usual. The small drawers I could use too for several items and painting that white is a great idea.
Don't know for that candle holder; is it bronze or brass? That way it never can be redone and its value is gone but of course it is UP to you entirely to choose what you like.
Maybe I look at items with a different eye, treasuring also the material it is made of and for a certain reason some things were not painted to begin with. It is a big fad and only good for the economy!

Sunny greetings from Georgia,
