Happy 4th & Yard Sale Treasures!

Hello everyone, and Happy 4th of July!! I wanted to get this post in really quick before we get started on our dinner later....both yesterday and earlier this afternoon, Hubby and I went to a few yard sales, and I wanted to show you the sweet treasures that I found!

This first photo shows you the pretties I found at a couple of sales yesterday (Saturday).

At one sale I found this sweet wicker basket, which I plan to paint (either white or pink)

At another sale, I found the pretty white doily that is draped over the basket, this sweet little white sugar bowl, and the wire teacup with flowers. I plan to remove the flowers and paint the cup pink, then either put these flowers back on, or make a new bouquet of roses to place on it.

Also at this same sale, I found the sweet little teapot and the silver tea/coffee pot.

The last 2 items I got at this sale are the cute little Victorian shoe, and the bronze cherubs...not sure exactly what this is, but I like it!

At a sale we stopped at today, I found these great items!

First is this fabulous silver tea/coffee set, which includes the pot, the creamer, and the sugar with lid, PLUS this tray...all for just $25...not bad! They're marked ROGERS on the bottom.

And lastly, this sweet little Bavarian saucer....what precious little pink roses it has....for ONLY 25 cents!! I just wish it had it's matching cup...but I guess I'll just have to go on the hunt for it!

Until next time my sweet and fabulous bloggie friends!! Warmest hugs, Brenda

Looks like you did okay at the yard sales..I never thought to check and see if there were any in my neighborhood. Lovethe little saucer since I always am picking them up at sales..something about the flowers and how dainty some are.

Enjoy your family on the 4th.

What wonderul new treasures you've found Brenda. Hard to believe what nice things can be found at yard sales, or that anywone would want to be getting rid of them. Goes to show that someone else's trash or no longer wanted "junk" can become our new treasures. As for the pretty little saucer, it would make a great base to display a larger candle on. That's how I use mine occassionly. Pretty and practical at the same time.

Hi Brenda,
I'm loving everything you found at the sales, especially all of your silver pieces.

That little cherub is a holder for a glass dish. I had one years ago and I remember it held a little dish for candy or a candle.

I sure wish we were neighbors Brenda, you seem to find so many great things, but that being said, we would have to fight over all of it. You did us proud with all the wonderful things you brought home. I can't wait to see them all painted and finished, Char
